    By GameSpot,

Watch the new GTA 5 trailer!

The PS4 and Xbox One versions of Grand Theft Auto 5 will ship on November 18, Rockstar Games has announced. However, the PC edition has been delayed to January 27 next year.

Rockstar says the next-gen editions of its multi-million selling blockbuster will benefit from a number of technical improvements, such as enhanced detail and longer draw distances.

Additional features for both the next-gen and PC versions include:

    • New weapons, vehicles and activities
    • Additional wildlife
    • Denser traffic
    • New foliage system
    • Enhanced damage and weather effects

Those who pre-order the next-gen and PC versions will also receive $1,000,000 in-game bonus cash to spend across Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online.

As previously speculated, the development team at Rockstar North will also bolster its in-game radio stations with more than 100 new songs and new DJ mixes.

Meanwhile, for the next-gen versions of GTA Online the player count has increased, allowing up to 30 players on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. All existing gameplay upgrades and content released on GTA Online will also be available on the next-gen and PC editions, with Rockstar pledging "much more to come".

Rockstar Games has also announced that it is preparing to host new, exclusive content to the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, such as "rare versions of classic vehicles" from the series, along with new weapons. These new vehicles include the Dukes and the Dodo Seaplane from GTA III.

Last-gen editions will also benefit from enhanced activities including wildlife photography and new shooting range challenges.

Those who bought the last-gen editions of GTA V can transfer their data to the PS4, Xbox One and PC editions. More information on the upgrades is available here.

Man In Pokemon Gear Jumps the White House Fence, Is Promptly Apprehended

A man wearing a Pokemon hat and carrying a Pikachu stuffed animal jumped the White House fence Thursday afternoon, and made it onto the lawn at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. His story ended in capture, however, and not with the glory of catching them all.

According to multiple reporters at the scene, the man was quickly detained by Secret Service agents. The disturbance put the White House on lockdown, but President Obama was out attending a September 11 memorial.

UPDATE: The White House jumper was also carrying a Pikachu stuffed animal.

The man's motive was unclear, and the significance of the Pokemon gear--if there was any--is unknown.

Multiple new Pokemon games are in development, including remakes of Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire for 3DS, as well as a fighting game called Pokken Tournament.

Destiny Players Discover Infinite Ammo Exploit

    GameSpot
    By GameSpot,

Some Destiny players appear to have found an exploit that removes the necessity of reloading weapons.

As showcased via a YouTube video, shown above, one player has found a way to empty a full magazine of rockets and continue firing without reloading. The same trick was also demonstrated with a sniper rifle.

The video shows how this exploit works in the single-player campaign, though it is unclear whether the same trick can be applied in multiplayer.

Those that exploit this trick run the risk of being penalized by the game's developer, Bungie, but the studio has not yet commented on the matter.

GameSpot has contacted publisher Activision to clarify whether the exploit will be addressed.

Destiny, which launched on Tuesday, is being hailed by Activision as the games industry's biggest new IP ever. Though sales numbers have not been disclosed yet, Activision says has already recouped $500 million in revenue from the blockbuster.

iPhone 6 Specs 'On Par' With PS4 and Xbox One, Says EA Exec

    GameSpot
    By GameSpot,

The latest addition to Apple's line of smartphones will be comparable in performance to next-generation consoles, according to one EA executive.

Frank Gibeau, who manages Electronic Arts' mobile division, told GamesIndustry.biz he believes that the iPhone 6 demonstrates the diminishing performance gap between home consoles and mobiles.

Enumerating various iPhone 6 specs and features, Gibeau said: "With the retina display and the improved processor, combined with the Metal [graphics] capabilities and 128 GB of memory, that gets you to a device that's on part [sic] with next-generation consoles. That's moving perfectly into our strike zone," he claimed.

Apple revealed two new versions of its iPhone for the first time on Tuesday. The iPhone 6 has a 4.7-inch screen (1334x750 resolution), while the larger 6 Plus carries a 5.5-inch screen (1920x1080).

The corporation didn't detail each device's specs, but the latest rumors suggest it will carry one Gigabyte of RAM and a processor that runs at about 1.4 gigahertz.

If correct, or even if these specs are doubled, the iPhone would not be anywhere near as powerful as next-generation consoles. From a memory standpoint alone, the PS4 and Xbox One both carry 8GB.

Another key factor is that home consoles are always attached to a power supply, meaning that they can draw significantly more energy than a portable battery such as the iPhone's.

However, with the upcoming iOS8 firmware, Apple intends to reduce the demands of background processes significantly, meaning that games and apps will be free to draw more memory.

Gibeau and his team at EA is also looking into how to build games for Apple's other newly announced device, the Apple Watch.
