  1. I have always been into sports. When I was a kid, my dad already taught me how to play tennis. When I was in grade school, my uncle taught me how to play basketball. And since I like basketball and tennis so much, I also got hooked with their video game counterparts. During the PS1 days, I played NBA live nonstop. When the PS2 came out, I switched to NBA 2k.I also play Virtua Tennis on my mobile phone. I love developing my player in NBA 2k and moving him to the top. I get a sense of achievement if my player wins Finals Mvp. Sports games are a lot of fun if you also l like sports.
  2. I'm no longer a fan of rhythm games but I did play a lot of guitar hero during the PS2 days. I was hooked because of the awesome music of the GH games. And I do love Rick music. And I do play the guitar. That's probably the reason why I was drawn to the GH games. My mom also played a bit of guitar hero, and she's pretty good at it. Now though? I have no interest in such rhythm music games. I no longer see any innovation in the genre.
  3. The best part in super Mario? The very first super Mario? I believe the best part in the game is being able to find some secret passages and places where coins power ups and shortcuts. I still remember jumping all over the place in hopes to hit an invisible block. But that was back in my childhood days. And those days are long gone. Boy, this post has really gotten me a bit nostalgic. How I wish I could go back to those carefree days.
  4. Final Fantasy VIII wowed me with Eyes on Me. It was the very first video game that had me hooked with its music. It really helped set the mood for the love story of Squall and Rinoa, despite how convoluted their story was. Aside from the main theme song, the music that plays in the different Gardens and villages are soothing to the ears. Other games that caught my attention when it came to music were the following: Final Fantasy IX Chrono Cross Xenogears Guitar Hero III Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater Okami Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch
  5. Nectaris: Military Madness for the Playstation was very horrible graphically but I still played it up to the end because of its very addictive gameplay. The game was a simple turn based military strategy game. The goal was simple - to either wipe out all enemy units or to capture all enemy bases. But despite its simplicity, the added terrain effects, various units available for battle, and the importance of positioning made the game a lot more fun and challenging. It didn't have state of the art graphics. It didn't have a memorable story. But its gameplay was enough to keep me hooked.
  6. I don't have a Ps4. Boo hoo. Well, that's because I don't have the money to buy one just yet. Also, my ps3 is still working fine so I didn't find the need to upgrade to a PS4 just yet. That was before I saw God of War. When the game came out, I immediately watched the reviews of the game, and boy was I impressed. GoW has garnered perfect scores from video game critics left and right! And upon seeing the game in action, I have to agree. The game simply looks awesome, and the story is amazing. Now my question is, is GoW a system seller? Should I purshase a PS4 just to pay GOW on it? What do you think?
  7. I'm into sports. I especially love Basketball and Tennis. Right now, I'm living the rivalry of the Golden state warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Well, anyway, ever since the NES days, I have already been playing basketball and tennis. Even with the very simple mechanics, I got hooked. Then came NBA live on the Playstation. It was such a joy to play. Then I moved to NBA 2k and Virtua Tennis, 2 of my favorite sports franchises. I love playing season mode, developing my team or my character, and eventually getting the trophy in the end. It's very fun and satisfying. They can get a bit repetitive if played for long stretches, but they're also quite addicting.
