  1. Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival Release Date Revealed Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival is releasing November 13 in North America, November 20 in Europe and November 21 in Australia. Nintendo is bundling the Wii U game with Isabelle and Digby amiibo figures and three amiibo cards, costing $60 in the United States.   2. Humble Bundle Announces Monthly Subscription Service Humble Bundle has announced a new subscription service, the Humble Monthly Bundle. Speaking with IGN, Humble confirmed its new program will exist separately from the other deals it already operates. The service will cost you $12 per month, with 5% of the cost going directly to charities. For the cost, you'll get a mix of newer hits and classic games. All games in the bundle will be unknown until the moment they're released. "The goal of the Humble Monthly is to present an offering of games to our audience that we normally wouldn’t be able to deliver to them," said Robert Bowling, VP and Creative Director at Humble Bundle. "So while the typical Humble Bundle is a fantastic way to get games you may have missed when they first came out, the Humble Monthly is a highly curated collection of our favorite games, new and classic, sent to you directly every month."   5. Activision Aware of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 Issues Activision has acknowledged the bugs and problems that Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 players are encountering in the sports game. A company representative provided IGN with the following statement: "We are aware of the issues that players have experienced following the launch of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 and are working with the developer to address these so that we can continue to improve the gameplay experience for all of the Tony Hawk fans who have known and loved this franchise for more than 16 years." Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 released earlier this week in North America, immediately receiving a 7.7 GB update that's bigger than the file size of the shipped game.   7. Times Square's Best Buy Theater Renamed PlayStation Theater Sony and AEG Live have announced Times Square's 2,150-capacity concert and events venue has been renamed the PlayStation Theater. Previously known as the Best Buy Theater, the new name comes as the venue celebrates its 10th anniversary and as part of a "strategic partnership" that'll see rebranding of all the theater's interior and exterior signage. Additionally, it'll lead to live performances being shown on the PlayStation Network. "As a leader in global entertainment, PlayStation is the perfect partner for a venue centrally located at the 'crossroads of the world,'" said Mark Shulman, Vice President and General Manager of AEG Live. "As the live music experience evolves, it's important to AEG Live to stay ahead of technology and trends, and as many of our younger fans are gamers as well, we are excited for the possibilities at PlayStation Theater."   8. Minecraft: Story Mode Gets a New Trailer and Details Telltale has released a new trailer for the first episode of its upcoming Minecraft: Story Mode. The trailer, which you can see below, comes ahead of the digital release of Episode 1: 'The Order of the Stone' on October 13, with a season pass disc also planned to hit retail in North America on October 27 and Europe on October 30.   9. Zangief Revealed for Street Fighter 5 Street Fighter V's latest addition to its roster brings back the classic Russian grappler. Zangief was revealed at Russian gaming expo IgroMir, naturally, according to the PlayStation Blog. A reveal trailer shows a combination of variations on the "Iron Cyclone's" older moveset and some all new tricks. True to his wrestling background, Zangief still possesses an assortment of body slams, suplexes, and, of course, pile drivers.However, his new abilities include the V-Skill: Iron Muscle and V-Trigger: Cyclone Lariat. Iron Muscle allows Zangief to absorb one attack, and in the video it looks similar to Street Fighter IV's focus attack functionality. Holding down the medium punch and kick buttons and pressing forward will move Zangief toward the opponent.   10. Early SOMA Sales Figures Revealed Frictional Games has revealed that sales for SOMA are approaching 100,000, 10 days after release. According to the post on Facebook, the total so far is around 92,000 units sold, and the money that Frictional has received "will pretty much pay our company expenses for another two years." The horror game is currently selling around 2,000 copies per day. Compared to Frictional's previous titles, Amnesia: The Dark Descent sold 20,000 copies in the first week, and its sequel A Machine for Pigs sold 120,000 in week one. Frictional's goal with SOMA is to reach 100,000 sales after one month. The company needs to "sell almost three times that amount" to regain all of the costs. Rise of the Tomb Raider Will Boast 30 to 40 Hours of Gameplay Lead designer on Rise of the Tomb Raider at Crystal Dynamics Mike Brinker has confirmed there will be plenty to do in the follow-up to the studio’s well-received 2013 reboot. “Not only are we going wide, but we’re going deeper,” explained Brinker. “We’re looking at 30 to 40 hours for the completionist. That delves into things like, for example, our skill trees.” “We used to have, I think it was 15- or 16-odd skills. Now we have over 50 skills. And we have three different tracks you can upgrade, and they’re each separated by four tiers.   12. Nintendo Reveals More Animal Crossing Amiibo Four new Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival figurines surfaced on the Nintendo Japan website with a December 17, 2015 release date. The Japanese amiibo website shows a total of 12 individual Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival figures, including new amiibo for Blathers, Celeste, Resetti and Kicks. The page also lists a bundle with Digby and Isabelle for 6,400 yen (roughly US$53) that’s scheduled to launch November 21 in Japan. Nintendo previously showcased individual packages for Lottie, Isabelle, Digby, Mabel and Tom Nook along with a three-pack bundle that includes K.K. Slider, Reese and Cyrus.   13. Star Wars Battlefront Beta Install Size Revealed EA has confirmed the Star Wars Battlefront beta will be around 7GB on PS4 and Xbox One, while the PC version will clock in at around 11GB. Additionally, the beta will be available to pre-load on PC from 1am PT / 4am ET / 9am GMT on October 7 by looking in the appropriate section of the Origin store. To get ready for the beta, EA and DICE detailed the Hero System for Star Wars Battlefront recently, which lets players take control of characters like Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker. The father and son are playable in the early test for the game. When Star Wars Battlefront officially launches in November, there won't be server browsers for the multiplayer modes.   14. Destiny Streamer Livestreamed Her Marriage Proposal An unsuspecting Destiny player livestreamed her marriage proposal. Twitcher nescaughtfire33 -- who had been surprised that so many people had tuned in for her latest stream -- was part-way through a scheduled Destiny stream when her dog came into the room with a gift around its neck (around 36 minutes into the video). Moments later, Nes' partner presented the ring and formally asked her to marry him. "This is why I messaged all those people and told them to come in," he said after formally proposing. Destiny sales hit 6.3 million units, amounting to US$47.5 million, within a month of its September 9 release last year, according to documents pertaining to the lawsuit between developer Bungie and former long-time employee Marty O’Donnell.   15. Controversial Deus Ex Pre-Order Program Cancelled Square Enix has announced the cancellation of its highly-controversial Deus Ex: Mankind Divided pre-order program. First revealed alongside the release date, the "Augment Your Pre-Order" program let people pick what pre-order bonuses they would receive among a handful of different options, with different tiers opening up when higher overall pre-order numbers were hit. For example, the first tier offered three in-game packs, such as a classic pack or enforcer pack, to choose from.
