Trevor Noah To Unveil The Next Battlefield Next Week

The Daily Show host and noted gamer Trevor Noah is set to give the world its first look at the next Battlefield game on May 23.

Though we already knew publisher EA would release a new game in the military first-person shooter series this year, this will be our first glimpse of the game.

We also have a few hints as to what it is we'll see on May 23. For one, the game will reportedly be called "Battlefield V" and take place during World War II. The title is heavily hinted it at in Noah's tweet about the reveal and the video attached therein.

#ad The rumors are true (rumors that I started, but still...) I will be hosting the @Battlefield Live Reveal on Wed, May 23rd. Catch it streaming live on the #Battlefield YouTube. V EXCITING! pic.twitter.com/7B3fpTpQ6x

The last sentence in the tweet is a bit of a tip-of, but it's the "V"-branded mug at the end of the video that really brings the whole thing home. We'll have to wait for the full reveal for confirmation, however.

Our Take
I'm a little surprised this reveal isn't at E3 proper, as it could have been a huge part of EA's conference. Maybe this is a teaser and we'll see more in-depth gameplay at E3?
